Trolleydarity
Scratch n Sniff Staycation
For The Discerning Static Traveller
Projects
Imagine a journey where you don’t need to pack your suitcase, rush to catch a plane, navigate airport security or even leave your bed? A journey where your senses transport you while staying exactly where you are.
Trolleydarity - Scratch n Sniff Staycations for the Discerning Static Traveller is a new project brought to you by artists Shona Reppe and Alan Greive that literally redefines travel - whether you desire a global adventure or simply a trip to the shops.
This is not just a virtual experience; it is an immersive sensory micro adventure for patients of the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh through the power of sound and scent alone.
Picture this: a trolley arrives, bringing with it not only crisps and chocolate, papers and deodorant but a world of possibilities. With carefully curated soundscapes and the latest Scratch and Sniff Technology, simply close your eyes to be transported by the olfactory magic - the scent of fresh cut grass, cola bottles on a park bench even the aroma of wet dog is brought to you in a sensory journey unlike anything you have experienced before.
Trolleydarity - Scratch n Sniff Staycation for the Discerning Static Traveller – ‘it’s a breath of fresh air’.
So…Where will you go today?
Trolleydarity - Scratch n Sniff Staycations for the Discerning Static Traveller will begin at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh in November 2025.
