Tom Penny is an international freelance Sound Designer and Sound Engineer working across film, theatre and TV. He is currently touring with the Hofesh Shechter Dance company. Previously, he was the Head of Sound and Video for Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre, with design credits for Cinderella, A Christmas Carol, The Children, Wings Around Dundee, This is a Love Story. He also oversaw the filmed theatre productions Smile and Islander, both filmed during lockdown. Other theatre credits include: A Mother's Song – Finn Anderson & Tania Azevedo (Sound Designer); Dear Europe (National Theatre of Scotland); A Long Day's Journey into Night, Bold Girls (The Citizens Theatre).

Film credits include Sunshine Periphery and The Mug (Sound Design and Location Sound); The Farm (BBC); Stunners (BBC); Soul (Short Circuit Scotland) plus numerous commercials and shorts.
