Stephen graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in English & History in 1985, then moved to London and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant working with global food corporation Cargill Inc. After various positions in industry, for 20 years he has been Finance Director of Campbells Prime Meat Ltd, Scotland’s leading supplier of fresh meat, fish and deli products to hotels and restaurants. He was a founding director of inclusive recruitment specialist Adopt an Intern and for nearly 30 years has run a credit union in his home town of Falkirk. For 14 years he has been chair of the Scottish League of Credit Unions. Both his daughters are playwrights, while he and his wife are season ticket holders at Italian football giants AS Roma.
