This year Sean has been seen in MARY & GEORGE on Sky TV, PASSENGER for ITV and SLOW HORSES on Apple TV. He will be seen in two Indie films BAD APPLES and STARVE ACRE later in the year, and he spent six months of 2023 fulfilling his dream of working at The National Theatre in the multi award winning DEAR ENGLAND. He previously appeared in THE GOLD on BBC1 when he first met and worked with Jack Lowden.

Over his forty years as an actor, he has been seen in many other guises in numerous films and TV productions, which include SHERWOOD, ATLANTA, SHADOW AND BONE, THE AMAZING MR BLUNDEN, HIS DARK MATERIALS, THE WHITE HOUSE FARM MURDERS, PENNY DREADFUL, THE LAST KINGDOM, POLDARK, DR WHO, TREASURE ISLAND and THE SHADOW LINE.

He will be familiar to many for his portrayal of Paddy Maguire in five series of SHAMELESS for Channel 4 and Styles in four seasons of HORNBLOWER on ITV. He was ‘Kitten’ in Clio Barnard’s multi award winning film THE SELFISH GIANT and has appeared in many other films, most notably THE ROAD DANCE, KING ARTHUR, GANGS OF NEW YORK, MIKE BASSETT ENGLAND MANAGER and HONEST.

Sean’s first years in the profession were mostly spent working on stage, his first love, and has appeared in over thirty productions in the U.K. and on World Tours. Highlights include THE DUCHESS OF MALFI at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and CHIMERICA, ENEMIES and THE EARTHLY PARADISE at the Almeida and West End. He particularly enjoyed appearing with Ewan McGregor in LITTLE MALCOLM AND HIS STRUGGLES AGAINST THE EUNUCHS at Hampstead and in the West End, the award winning OUR BOYS at The Donmar Warehouse, and travelling on world tours with A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, MACBETH, TWELFTH NIGHT, CORIOLANUS and THE WINTERS TALE.
