About Neha Apsara
Neha Apsara is a performance, moving-image and text artist. Based between Glasgow and Edinburgh, her work explores ritual, confessions, care, love and the importance of spirituality out with the binaries of organised religion. This narrates the roles they have as part of the committee for artist run initiative, Rhubaba, Edinburgh and as curatorial assistant at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.
Through her film programme, Begana: Musings on Queerness, she has previously dedicated time to highlighting films of LGBTQIA+ South Asian, Indo-Caribbean and their diasporas. This programme started within the CCA and has been hosted by both Fringe of Colour Film Festival and SQIFF (Scottish Queer international Film Festival).
