Mal is a community artist and filmmaker from the Highlands who works in solidarity with communities, using film and the arts collaboratively as a tool for self-expression. They facilitate all kinds of creative community projects with a focus on wellbeing, and are passionate about widening access to the arts by building safe, accessible, and nurturing creative spaces.

Mal has a BA in Film and Media and an MLitt in Gender Studies from the University of Stirling. They are currently a trustee for Take One Action Film Festival and work part-time at Cyrenians’ Creative Natives project.
