About Louis Abbott
Louis Linklater Abbott is a multi-instrumentalist and singer based in Glasgow. He is the songwriter for chamber-pop band, Admiral Fallow, who have released four albums to critical acclaim and have toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe, North America and Australia since their formation in 2007. The band have been working with Paul Savage (Mogwai, Paulo Nutini, Arab Strap) on their fifth studio album, due for release in 2025.
Recent theatre work includes his role as co-musical director on ‘A Giant on the Bridge’, a narrative gig that shared stories and songs from criminal justice and which had a successful run the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024. Louis also collaborated with Paul Tinto and Bryony Shanahan on the development of ‘Trouble in Spiritland’ [Traverse] in 2024.
He also works as a session musician, drummer, engineer and producer, and has collaborated with some of Scotland’s finest contemporary musicians and singers including:
King Creosote, Camera Obscura, Eddi Reader, Rachel Sermanni, Karine Polwart, Kris Drever, Siobhan Miller, Findlay Napier, Jo Mango, Mike Vass, Strike the Colours and Heidi Talbot.
