About Katherine Nesbitt
Katherine is a theatre director from Belfast, based in Glasgow. She was an Associate Director for National Theatre Connections and was an Associate Artist at the Traverse Theatre. She’s an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors’ Lab in New York and was a finalist for the JMK Award 2021 and the Sir Peter Hall Directors Award 2021.
Directing credits include: Roost (A Play, a Pie and a Pint); This Is Paradise (Traverse Theatre); Everyman (Guildhall); Sticky City (CQAF); Jade City (Bunker Theatre); The Present (National Theatre of Scotland/ BBC Scotland). She was Associate Director on Mouthpiece by Kieran Hurley (Traverse, directed by Orla O’Loughlin) and The Open House by Will Eno (Bath Ustinov Studio, directed by Sir Michael Boyd). She was recently commissioned by the MAC Belfast, and is currently a member of the 2024 cohort of screenwriters for Convergence with Short Circuit at Film City Glasgow.
