About Catherine Holden
Catherine Holden is an arts and heritage consultant, trainer, facilitator and coach.
She has extensive experience working in senior roles for leading creative institutions, ​including National Museums Scotland, Tate, the Natural History Museum and the National Theatre in London.
Catherine founded her independent consultancy in 2016, and her practice spans organisational change and governance, fundraising strategy, marketing and branding, as well as personal and team development. Her clients include a wide range of national and regional performing arts organisations, festivals, museums, galleries, science centres, local authority trusts, heritage bodies and historic houses, as well as membership and leadership networks.
She is a trustee of Clore Leadership and Art UK, and was previously Chair of the national development agency Craft Scotland. She has also served on the boards of the Fruitmarket gallery, Arts Marketing Association and Edinburgh Art Festival.
Catherine is based in Scotland and works across the UK and beyond. She has a first class degree in English Literature from Oxford University, grew up in Worcestershire and has lived in Scotland since 2004.
