Overview

A site-specific promenading production created especially for the Bridge in Easterhouse, The Recovery Position throws us headlong into a high-speed world of pain, panic and paramedics, exploring why the ‘operating theatre’ isn’t called theatre by accident…

Mark Murphy was founder and director of Vtol Dance Company; co-director of A Clockwork Orange and 1984 for the Northern Stage Ensemble in Newcastle, award-winning director for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games and is the Associate Director of outdoor performance company Walk The Plank.

With extensive experience working across art forms, Mark’s collaboration with the Young Company will create an ambitious, thrilling and unforgettable piece of theatre.
