Overview
‘Beir abhaile ár marbh. Bring us home our dead’
A telegram sent from Achill in 1937 inspires the untold story of ten young lads lost in a Scottish bothy fire. The effects reach across the sea, waking the soul of a young Glasgow boy today as he struggles to find his voice.
In a unique collaboration, award-winning Scottish company Theatre Gu Leòr and The Abbey present an innovative new play, exploring the shared linguistic, musical and cultural traditions of Scotland and Ireland, created by artists from both nations.
A co-production between Theatre Gu Leòr and The Abbey Theatre, supported by National Theatre of Scotland and Colmcille
