A young man with dark hair and light brown eyes looks forward, directly into the camera.

Overview

If you are born in a country where being yourself can get you killed, exile is your only choice.

Adam is the remarkable, true story of a young trans man having to make that choice and begin his journey. From Egypt to Scotland, it charts Adam's fight across borders and genders to find a place to call home.

Adam returns to the stage following a phenomenally successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 and subsequent tour. In a world first, Adam features an international digital choir of trans individuals from across the globe which has been uniquely integrated into this remarkable multimedia production.

Conceived for the stage and directed by Cora Bissett. Written by Frances Poet. Music score composed by Jocelyn Pook.
