This week marks the end of our Thinking Space residency. We were delighted that a host of Scotland’s most engaged artists were able to join us from October 2021 to February 2022 to explore what “creative engagement” means to them and what it could mean for communities, artists and organisations, in the future, in the context of theatre-making post pandemic.

Paul Fitzpatrick, Director of Creative Engagement said

“It has been a brilliant and enlightening experience exploring socially engaged and co-created theatre-making alongside such committed and experienced artists. This thinking and insight will shape how we make work with communities in the future.”

Our ten artists are Annie George (artist and theatre-maker), Kevin P Gilday (writer and spoken word artist), Natasha Gilmore (Artistic Director of Barrowland Ballet), Lottie Barker (community based artist and producer), Liam Hurley (writer and theatre-maker), Nelly Kelly (playwright, theatre maker and drag performer), Gerry Mulgrew (director, actor and Artistic Director of Communicado), Morven Mulgrew (interdisciplinary artist), Greg Sinclair (performance artist, cellist and composer) and Craig McCorquodale (live artist).

You can find out more about the artists and their work here.
