We are delighted to welcome three new appointees to our Board of Directors for 2018. Jean Cameron, Sheelagh Duffield, and Keiran O’Neill will join the organisation in September 2018.
Jean Cameron is a highly respected arts professional, most recently as Project Director for Paisley as UK City of Culture 2021, where she led her home town’s bid to be the first town ever shortlisted in the UK City of Culture competition. Over her thirty-year career she has been committed to contemporary arts practice that is grounded and informed by social, political, and cultural concerns, and has helped to shape the Scottish cultural calendar through her work with the likes of Glasgow International Festival, Aye Write Book Festival, and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Cultural Programme.
Sheelagh Duffield is a qualified lawyer with over 20 years of board level experience and has held senior executive roles within the corporate departments of Scottish Television plc, Scottish Power plc, and The Miller Group Limited. Now Managing Director of Savendie, an advisory organisation for CEOs and senior executives, she has a successful track record of leading complex projects and delivering organisational change.
Keiran O’Neill is a twenty-year-old from the North of Glasgow, and joins as part of our commitment to promoting younger voices within the theatre industry. A passionate advocate for the power of theatre to change lives, Keiran has also been a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament for Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn Constituency since September 2015, as well as being an active member of the Glasgow Youth Council.
The new appointees will join the board on 20 September 2018.
