Cast members have been announced today for the National Theatre of Scotlands’ two Edinburgh International Festival shows.

Shyvonne Ahmmad, Tim Crouch and Susan Vidler will be appearing in Tim Crouch’s Total Immediate Collective Imminent Terrestrial Salvation at The Studio (Festival Theatre, Edinburgh) and Stefan Adegbola, Irene Allan, Elicia Daly, Sasha Frost, and Elaine C. Smith are joining the cast of Red Dust Road at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh.

Following performances at the Edinburgh International Festival, both shows will be touring widely. Red Dust Road is touring to Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling, Eden Court Theatre, Inverness and Home, Manchester. Total Immediate Collective Imminent Terrestrial Salvation is touring to the Royal Court Theatre, London; Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, Brighton and Teatro do Bairro Alto, Lisbon.

Red Dust Road is based on Scot’s Makar Jackie Kay’s memoir, adapted for the stage by Tanika Gupta and directed by Dawn Walton.

Total Immediate Collective Imminent Terrestrial Salvation is written by celebrated meta-theatrical specialist Tim Crouch with book illustration and set designed by Rachana Jadhav and directed by Karl James & Andy Smith.

Red Dust Road is a National Theatre and Home, Manchester co-production.
