Two award-winning productions, The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart and Let The Right One In, will be reaching new audiences stateside in 2023.
The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart returns to New York, embarking on an eight-week run at The McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More, in Spring 2023. It will return to the hotel's intimate pub and theatre space, The Club Car, where it originally played in 2016/17 for a ground-breaking five-month residency, winning a Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience".
The show originally toured for seven years with the National Theatre of Scotland from 2011 to 2018 and was revived in 2022 by The Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh and Double M Arts and Events. Following a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Prudencia Hart is now touring the US, including this special limited engagement run in New York, from 9 March to 30 April which takes in Tartan Week in NYC, in April 2023. Let The Right One In will be returning to the stage at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California, playing from 20 May to 25 June, with an American cast, directed by John Tiffany.
John Tiffany and Jack Thorne’s bewitching production, adapted from John Ajvide Lindqvist’s original Swedish novel and film of the same name, has entranced audiences since its debut at the Dundee Rep Theatre in 2013, going on to play at the Royal Court Theatre (London) and the Apollo Theatre in London’s West End the following year and at St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York in 2015, as well as a U.S. tour in 2017. There have also been international presentations of the original production in Dublin and South Korea with Irish and Korean casts.

These productions mark a return to the United States for the National Theatre of Scotland. Most recently the Company presented Alan Cumming's Burn at the Joyce Theatre in New York in October 2022. Since the National Theatre of Scotland's U.S. debut with Black Watch, directed by John Tiffany at St. Ann's Warehouse in 2007, the Company has gone on to present 13 productions at 44 venues across 17 U.S states.
