Online Workshop 1: Skilling Up: Moving From Assistant To Associate

Fri 6 Sept, 10:30am – 12pm | online - led by Finn den Hertog

Many early career directors will have had some experience assisting on shows of various scales, but may struggle to make the move to Associate. Drawing on his own experience in such roles at the Young Vic, National Theatre and in the West End, this session will include techniques on how to maintain the Director's vision in their absence, working with understudies, keeping a show “bible” and noting a show through a longer run and/or tour.

Online Workshop 2: Developing Your Creative Identity As a Director

Mon 9 Sep, 5pm – 6:30pm | online led by Debbie Hannan

This session will cover – finding your style and voice as a director, how to articulate your style, pre-rehearsal prep, how to sustain your creativity when you’re not directing or assisting.
