Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for up to 15 early career directors to attend an online workshop discussing starting out as a director.

This session will give insights into taking your first steps into directing. This is best suited to early career directors who are at the beginning of their journey, eg. those who are currently studying, directors with little to no professional experience, or for those looking to move into directing from another role in theatre. The session is led by Associate Artist Debbie Hannan, drawing on their journey into the industry and their current mentorship of early career directors, offering practical tips and advice for getting started.

Attendees will also be offered tickets to either attend June Carter Cash: The Woman, Her Music and Me during its Scottish Tour, or The Fifth Step at the Glasgow Pavilion.

The Fifth Step is our new production written by David Ireland and directed by Finn den Hertog.

June Carter Cash: The Woman, Her Music and Me is our new co-production with Grid Iron Theatre Company, written and performed by Charlene Boyd and Directed by Cora Bissett

This opportunity is available for beginner directors who are over the age of 18 and are based in Scotland.

Tickets are subject to availability.
